Charakterystyka

Cel projektu:

The aim of the CP is to define one of the micro-regions in Pelagonia, as a `landscape` for multidisciplinary study (supported by the combined Polish-Macedonian archaeological expedition) in order to launch a wider project compatible with ESF “Landscape in a Changing World” program (http://www.esf.org/publications.html). To this end a scientific documentation of the highest level as the base for the international funding acquisition must be prepared. Pelagonia, as one of the biggest plains in Macedonia, has a great potential for this kind of study because of its cultural diversities throughout centuries and millennia that indicate the great significance of this region in the past. Considering the variety of communities inhabiting and embodying Pelagonia since Prehistory till nowadays it definitely requires a profound research. This case study needs a large input into the basic research
of humanities-based disciplines. Towards those ends both partners are going to solicit the funds from the respective Ministries (both Polish and Macedonian) as well as from the outer, European sources.
